You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dairy processing facility. You'll lead a team of professionals, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and drive efficiency in all aspects of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:

    • Lead and manage all aspects of the dairy processing plant, from production to packaging, maintenance, and sanitation.
    • Develop strategies to optimize plant efficiency, reduce costs, and meet production targets without compromising on quality.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall plant performance.
  2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards, implementing rigorous quality control measures.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and address any compliance issues promptly.
  3. Team Management and Development:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and support employee development initiatives.
  4. Safety and Environmental Compliance:

    • Promote a culture of safety throughout the plant, enforcing safety protocols and minimizing workplace hazards.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices to reduce the plant's environmental footprint.
  5. Budgeting and Cost Management:

    • Develop and manage operating budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Track key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess plant performance and profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of managerial experience in the dairy industry, with a strong understanding of dairy processing operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
